2021 Monsoons in the Sonoran Desert, Ipomoea hederacea, Pima County, Arizona
The Sonoran Desert experienced a very rare influx of monsoons in 2021. Some of the storms exceeded half of its average annual rainfall in single storms. The austere desert transformed into a lush “jungle” of plants.
